Whose idea was it to throw food on a fire?
I just want to see the thought process of the first caveman who figured out cooking on a fire. Can you imagine what a man of action that guy must have been? Who in their right mind one day decides to throw valuable resources on a fire?
“Yes, this fire is deadly, but let’s throw food that is necessary for my survival on it. Ogaboga.” - Krog, 2 000 000 BC
What the heck man?
And they say because we started to cook our meals, it allowed for better digestion, which freed up energy for memory consolidation. This guy just enabled larger brain growth.
Gred: “What the fuck is he doing?”
Tod: “Killing our food to see if something useful comes out of it.”
Gred: “What a shitty idea. I think we should murder him.”
So whoever decided to throw food on fire just to see what happens… Can you imagine? On a thing that would kill you. Can I book a course from this master tinkerer?
No objective, no rationalizing. Just a man with fire, steak, and curiosity… This guy had no developed brain like ours, yet he made one of the greatest discoveries in history. Great inventions do not necessarily require a great brain. Just curiosity and action.
